How many of you actually struggle trying to figure out what type of gifts to get your significant other? Doesn’t it feel harder especially when they’re in the car scene? Here is a list of 5 items that I have purchased for my significant other for his cars. Also, may have purchased some for myself and for my own baby, which you can check out my car here!

5 Simple Gifts: Car Scene Edition

Car parts can be crazy expensive, and sometimes we wonder if that’s even the one they want or need. Whether you are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, holidays, or a simple “just because” gift, here is my list of gifts that are not car parts.

Gift 1. TreeFrog Air Freshener

THESE ARE MY FAVORITES! I have used these air fresheners for years, and my favorite scent is their White Peach. This JDM air freshener is a gel substance in a box that you just rip off the top and slide under your seat. This is the perfect gift for your significant other, because it is very simple. Also, they do not have crazy scents that would be a huge miss, in my opinion, if they do not like the smell. What I love the most about these is that the scent isn’t overwhelming or intoxicating. Though, the scents are strong enough where your car will smell amazing. They last for a long time as well. It’s been about 4 months since I opened mines. They have a bunch of different scents to choose from, but I will go ahead and list my top three.

White Peach: Peachy, sweet & fruity notes

This is my favorite for a reason, beside the fact that I love white peach anything. I love that is doesn’t have the artificial sweet smell that some sweet scents do and that it isn’t overwhelming.

Marine Squash: Citrus & fresh (spring cleaning) notes

My boyfriend loves this one. He has a nostalgia attachment to it because this was the scent his car had when he first bought her.

Lemon: Lemon, citrus/sour-ish notes

Okay… besides white peach, I also do love any lemon scented items, so for my lemon lovers. Pucker up!

Gift 2. Multi-functional Cup Holder

I own a ’97 Nissan S14, and HATE how my car doesn’t have a cup holder. Even my boyfriend’s ’92 RHD GC8 has one… anyways. For those of you who understand how this struggle is real, I suggest that this would be the perfect gift for yourself. Wait, I meant for your other half who desperately needs one.

The design is very sleek and it only comes in the color black. It isn’t too bulky even though you have to slide it in between the seat and center counsel. There are restrictions to what cars it can be placed in. For instance, if your center counsel is lower than your seat it won’t work. Also, if the gap between your seat and the counsel is wider than 0.6 inches. It holds your standard water bottle, coffee cup, and to-go drink. This set up works in my car and I have it on the passenger side.

Gift 3. Chemical Guys Microfiber Cloth

Not one, or two, but all three of our cars have black paint. I do not think I need to say more.

For those who understand the struggle: I have no explanation. For those who do not understand, cars with black paint are forever dirty. I can say that for a fact. With the being said, you can never have too many microfiber cloths. This popped up as I was looking for detailing products for my boyfriend. I realized that this was very large in size and I was like I need this.

You can get the small squares at Costco, or a huge pack of them online. Though, the main reason why I purchased this was so we could dry off the car faster. I know I am lazy. With this being larger it was faster to dry off the car after we wiped off the excess water with the shammies. This helps when we are trying to do a full clean on all the cars in one day. Great gift to give to show your appreciation for your own car when it deserves a nice bath. Also, great “date idea” just be in charge or rinsing.

Gift 4. Car Window Cleaner

Besides washing your car, I do not need this to wash my windshield. However, this does come in handy in my car. Since I own a “drift car” I have a swapped engine and no one put the AC back. There isn’t much space anyways in my engine bay. Long story short, when it’s cold, or it’s raining, I drive with my windows up. Having the fan blowers on blast does not help at all to get rid of the fog on the windshield. So hear me out, this is the perfect gift for your significant other if they suffer from the same problem as I do.

It’s convenient and small enough to leave in the car. Reminds me of a swiffer except it has a microfiber cloth (reusable!) and you can use it on glass/windows. Overall, it does come in handy. You can extend the arm and use it to wipe the whole windshield versus using a towel (if you even have one in the car that’s clean) for the area in front of you.

Gift 5. Portable Car Vacuum

As I write this I am realizing I am getting old. I have a lot of cleaning products on this list.

However, who doesn’t like a clean car, inside and out!

Because I live in Hawai`i, I get sand in my car when we got to the beach. It doesn’t matter if you rinse off and what nots, it always finds a way in. Again, I’m lazy. I struggle with the thought of having to hook up the extension cord to the shop vacuum, lug it to my car, and struggle with the hose inside since it’s bulky. So having a small portable vacuum that you can keep in your car, well look at us being “adults”! This is a great gift for those who like to keep their car clean. You never know when you get the urge to vacuum up dirt in the car. Or maybe you forgot to vacuum the car after washing it before heading to a car meet. Though, it also comes in handy for those random food spills…. just saying.

If you do not want to spend a lot of money on a name brand vacuum, just get this one! It does the job and you can leave it in the car.
